Osman Yagan is a Research Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Carnegie Mellon University, associated with the CyLab Security and Privacy Institute and the Block Center for Technology and Society, since December 2011. Yagan has progressed through roles as Associate and Assistant Research Professor, as well as Postdoctoral Research Fellow, focusing on dynamical processes in complex networks, information diffusion, and network robustness. Prior to Carnegie Mellon, Yagan served as a Visiting Postdoctoral Scholar at Arizona State University and a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Maryland, where research emphasized graph theory, wireless sensor networks, and security. Yagan earned a PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Maryland and a BS in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Middle East Technical University.
