George Banta

George Banta is an accomplished engineering professional with extensive experience in the field of mechanical engineering and power generation systems. Currently serving as Associate Director at Carrier Corporation since September 2016, George Banta specializes in global engine, emissions, and power generation technology for transport refrigeration equipment. Prior to this role, experience includes serving as Principal Engineer at Weichai America Corp, where responsibilities encompassed natural gas engine and customer application design, and a decade at Navistar Inc in various leadership roles, including Chief Engineer and Design Engineering Product Manager, focusing on diesel engine integration and cooling system design. Additional tenure at Cummins Inc. as Engineering Manager emphasized lubrication and cooling systems for diesel engines, and early career experience at GE involved lead design responsibilities for aerospace components. George Banta holds a Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Cincinnati and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Dayton.
