Dr. A Raza Khan is an accomplished academic and community leader with extensive experience in higher education and public service. Currently serving as Commissioner for the Governor's Commission on South Asian American Affairs at the Maryland Governor's Office of Community Initiatives, Dr. Khan has held various leadership roles, including Chairperson and Chair-Elect on the Faculty Advisory Council of the Maryland Higher Education Commission. With a longstanding tenure at Carroll Community College as Division Chairperson of Sciences, Director of the STEM Scholars honors program, and Chemistry Faculty, Dr. Khan actively contributes to STEM education and community initiatives. Previous roles include leadership positions at the Islamic Society of Carroll County and faculty appointments at several colleges, complemented by a Ph.D. in Bio-Inorganic Chemistry from Howard University.
