Julie Thomas

Julie Thomas currently serves as the Executive Director for Marketing and Communications at Carthage College, a role that commenced in September 2023, where responsibilities include overseeing news and storytelling functions and supporting recruitment and revenue goals. Prior to this, Julie held the position of Director of Strategic Communications for Burlington Area School District from November 2016 to September 2023, where oversight of communication and media relations was key. Additional experience includes serving as Treasurer at St. John's Elkhorn, working as an Independent Contractor, and various roles in marketing and communications at Valparaiso University, Mather LifeWays, Ivy Tech State College, and the Roller Skating Association International. Academically, Julie earned a Master of Science in Digital Media and a BA in Communications with a focus on Public Relations, both from Valparaiso University.
