Rosita Lopez is the current Vice Chairperson at Casa Central. Rosita has also previously worked as the Director of Reform Implementation CPS, the DESEGREGATION IMPLEMENTATION COORDINATOR at CPS Office of EEO, and a Geriatrics laboratory technician, Phlebotomist, and Morgue associate to Pathologist at Saint Elizabeths Hospital.

Rosita Lopez has dedicated their career to helping others. Rosita has worked extensively in the field of education, specifically with the Chicago Public Schools (CPS) system. In their role as Director of Reform Implementation CPS, they were responsible for directing all reform related training programs in CPS. This included workshops for Local School Councils (LSC), reform legislation, and coordinating citywide conferences on reform. Rosita also chaired committees on reform issues in Chicago and Washington, DC.

Before their work with CPS, Rosita Lopez was the DESEGREGATION IMPLEMENTATION COORDINATOR at CPS Office of EEO. In this role, they supervised school-community relations of attendance areas, provided technical assistance to LSCs on desegregation-related issues, maintained and monitored a computer data base system, and coordinated the placement of students into appropriate programs.

Rosita Lopez began their career in 1977 as a Geriatrics laboratory technician, Phlebotomist, and Morgue associate to Pathologist at Saint Elizabeths Hospital. Rosita worked in this role until 1982 when they transitioned to her

Rosita Lopez has a Doctor of Education (EdD) from Northern Illinois University in Leadership, Policy Studies, and Adult Education. Rosita also has a Master's Degree from Northern Illinois University in Leadership and Administration as well as a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Illinois Chicago in Elementary Education and Teaching. Rosita is currently pursuing a Master of Education (MEd) from National Louis University.
