Iliana is a Membership Services Paralegal in CASA’s legal department. Within CASA she works on housing-related issues including eviction prevention, conditions problems, and discrimination. Iliana graduated Magna Cum Laude from Colby College in 2020 where she majored in Anthropology and Political Science. At Colby, Iliana ran the Feminist Alliance and led a number of socio-political advocacy campaigns. Prior to working at CASA, Iliana worked at CAIR (Capital Area Immigrant Rights) Coalition as a legal assistant and Avodah fellow. In this role, she assisted unrepresented individuals detained in ICE custody to prepare for trial and gather supporting evidence. Iliana is conversational in Spanish and knows varying amounts of Hebrew, Arabic, and Swahili.
