Simone Weil is an experienced public policy leader currently serving as the Director of Public Policy at Casey Family Programs since April 2022. Previously, Simone was the Principal for Policy Analysis and Development at the Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning from January 2012 to April 2022, where leadership included managing a team focusing on infrastructure funding, tax policy, economic competitiveness, and racial equity. Prior to this, Simone worked as a Policy Analyst at CMAP, conducting analysis on economic competitiveness and land use. Earlier experience includes serving as a Research Associate and Program Assistant at The Chicago Community Trust, as well as a Special Aide to the Interim CEO of Chicago Public Schools, where strategic recommendations for school improvement were developed. Simone holds a Master of Public Policy from the University of Chicago and a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish Language and Literature and International Studies from Kenyon College.
