Marcus Brix grew up in the Texas hill country and graduated from Texas A&M University in 2011 with a bachelor’s degree in agricultural economics. While at A&M, Marcus worked at Southwest Agribusiness Consulting, Inc., as a student worker and eventually moved into the role of an assistant consultant. In the fall of 2012, he began graduate school at Kansas State University to attain a master’s degree in agricultural economics. Marcus’s research was based in commodity price analysis and forecasting. He was also a fellow of the K-State Center for Risk Management Education and Research.
Marcus joined CattleFax as an analyst in April 2014. His primary role is to work on the risk management team performing research and energy market analysis. Marcus began assisting the database team in 2019, picking up some new skills during the process of a major database upgrade.
