Joe Pineda

Joe Pineda is a skilled news photographer currently employed at CBS 42 since July 2024, capturing the latest news stories in the Birmingham metro area. Prior to this role, Joe served as a Junior Producer at Capstone Agency, the top student-run PR firm in the nation, creating content to enhance brand identity for professional clients from September 2021 to August 2024. Joe's experience also includes a position as a barista at Starbucks from May 2020 to August 2024, and leadership roles as Co-State Director for March For Our Lives and Co-Director of External Relations for the Black Warrior Film Festival. Joe holds a degree in Creative Media and Communication Studies, with a focus on Film/Cinema/Video Studies from The University of Alabama, completed in 2023. Additionally, Joe earned a High School Diploma from Helena High School in May 2019.
