A graduate of the Gdańsk University of Technology, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering. In 1983 he started his professional career at the "Wisła" Shipyard in Gdańsk. After 1989, he participated in the political changes in Poland, being, inter alia, Director of the Cabinet of Prime Minister Jan Krzysztof Bielecki, and then in 1992-1993 the Minister of Communications. The years 1994-1997 was the period of work at Bank Handlowy. Then, in 1997-1998, he was an advisor for Poland at the Morgan Stanley Dean Witter investment bank and in 1999-2000 ING Barings, advising on mergers and acquisitions. At the same time, until 2008, he ran his own business - in which he implemented projects in the field of ICT, incl. for PZU, PKO BP, BZWBK SA, Siemens, Asseco, Prokom, Nokia. In the years 2008-2011 he was the vice-president of the management board of Polkomtel SA for marketing and customer relationship management, where he was responsible for the preparation and coordination of the sales process of Polkomtel SA In 2012-2013, he managed PGE Polska Grupa Energetyczna SA as the President of the Management Board. In 2016-2019, a member of the International Business Council - Retail at INNOGY Essen. In the field of corporate governance, he has experience gained in the supervisory boards of PKO BP, TFI PZU, KGHM, BPH, PGF SA, and Poczta Polska.
