Alan Sim, Ph.D., is the Chief Data Officer at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, a position held since December 2020. In this role, Alan leads initiatives to integrate data science into public health practices, enhancing the ethical application of data for health innovation and improvement. Prior to joining the CDC, Alan held leadership positions at Vista Defense Technologies, LLC, where responsibilities included directing predictive analytics for the Department of Defense, and at CNF Technologies, focusing on health data analysis and performance indicators.
