Kanta Sircar

Kanta Sircar is a seasoned epidemiologist with extensive experience at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) since September 2004, currently serving as Team Lead at the Asthma and Air Quality Branch, providing technical assistance on various environmental health issues. Previous roles at the CDC include Acting Branch Chief and epidemiological research focusing on carbon monoxide poisoning, asthma, and air pollution. Kanta Sircar's early career involved significant contributions to surveillance of serious pediatric infections during a tenure with the Epidemic Intelligence Service in Los Angeles County, and research efforts at Yale University concentrated on the links between environmental factors and cardiovascular diseases. A Commander in the Commissioned Corps of the U.S. Public Health Service since July 2007, Kanta Sircar also has editorial experience as a Web Editor for the American Thoracic Society and holds advanced degrees in epidemiology and public health from Yale University.
