Ranjit Warrier currently serves as a Senior Laboratory Advisor at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention since March 2024. Prior to this role, Ranjit Warrier worked at the Centre for Infectious Disease Research in Zambia (CIDRZ) from June 2016 to December 2023, where responsibilities included serving as Laboratory Advisor and Director of Biomedical Research, focusing on improving HIV treatment and care through the Laboratory Innovation for Excellence (LIFE) CDC grant under PEPFAR Zambia. Ranjit Warrier has expertise in lab-based research with a special interest in molecular diagnostics to enhance healthcare in low and middle-income settings. Additionally, Ranjit Warrier held the position of Director of the Central Laboratory at the University of Pennsylvania from August 2011 to June 2016 and completed postdoctoral work at the University of Alabama at Birmingham and CIDRZ from 2008 to 2011. Ranjit Warrier earned a Ph.D. in Virology from Purdue University and a Bachelor of Science in Molecular Biology from Louisiana Tech University.
