Jason Duesing is a trustee at Cedarville University. Jason was previously the Vice President for Student Services and Communications at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary from July 2004 to June 2013. In this role, they participated in the President’s Cabinet and helped make decisions that determined the overall direction of the institution. Jason specifically oversaw the directors of Communications, Admissions, International Students, the Chaplain, Student Life, Financial Aid, Recreation Aerobics Center, Student Center, Housing, Dining Services, Media Services, and the Riley Conference Center and Hotel.
From January 2001 to December 2004, Jason Duesing was the Director of Student Life at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. In this role, they supervised three full-time and 20 part-time staff; submitted and followed a budget for each fiscal year; implemented the rules of Citizenship and Immigration Services; managed the Ledford Student Center; oversaw Financial Aid for the institution; enforced student discipline; produced the Student Handbook; published the campus newsletter; and made visits to students in emergency situations.
Jason Duesing has a PhD in Systematic Theology from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. Jason's focus is on theology, ecclesiology, and Baptist history. Jason also has a Master of Divinity from Southeastern Seminary. Jason's undergraduate degree is in English from Anderson College.
