David Martin

Proudly joining the CeleBreak team roster is the very talented David Martin leading the charge as Business Development Manager. In his role, coupled with his specialized skill set, he is taking the lead in helping to establish, maintain, and grow B2B relations with various field owners, sponsors, and collaborators and in doing so helping in CeleBreak’s mission to bring football to everyone, everywhere!

David was born in the city of Valladolid, Spain where he lived for some time before his studies and professional ambitions took him to many other corners of the world. Having lived in Valladolid for the first 18 years of his life, after completing his studies at the University of Valladolid with a degree in Tourism and Marketing and going on to receive a Master’s degree in Business Administration & Digital Marketing. With his degrees in hand, David began traveling around the world having visited over 30 different countries fulfilling his passion for learning about new cultures, meeting new people and living new experiences.

Having been on both sides of the pitch, both as a player and as a referee, David has an incredibly rich knowledge, appreciation, and passion for the game. He played football up until he was 15 years old when he decided to become a certified referee which he continues to practice over the last 10 years having had the privilege of refereeing professional teams such as Krasnodar, Malmo, Shanghai, and Kalserslautern! This would come as no surprise given that David feels motivated by feeling a healthy amount of pressure to strive and come out successful and refereeing professional football falls nothing short in this regard.

It was during his refereeing career that he lived one of his most memorable moments where he regulated a match between Krasnodar & Malmo where they battled it out until the last second of the match since the following week they were facing eliminations. Though he currently referees more than he plays, when he gets on the pitch as a player you can count on David shining as a midfielder on either side of the pitch or as a striker marking goals for his team.

In light of CeleBreak’s ongoing growth and in search of their mission, Daniel Foth, CEO and Cofounder of CeleBreak, found David Martin in Linkedin and after close consideration and a few conversations in between, both knew right away that this would be the start of a great professional relationship and the decision was made to join their team! When asked what he enjoys most about being a part of CeleBreak, David will tell you that it is not only the mission of connecting people through football, but also the incredible atmosphere and teamwork felt from within the company and their shared passion for football!
