Varleton McDonald

Varleton "Mac" McDonald, Ed.D, serves as Consulting Field Director in Education at The Center for Educational Innovation since September 2022, where responsibilities include managing educational consultants and networking with district leaders to enhance student academics. As President and CEO of Maverick Youth Services NP since September 2014, Varleton provides tailored academic and administrative consultation services to K-12 school districts. Additionally, Varleton has been involved with New American Academy Charter School as Board Chair since July 2012, overseeing board meetings and ensuring adherence to bylaws. Previous roles include Senior Academic Facilitator at REACH Educational Solutions, Deputy Superintendent at Hempstead Public Schools, and various senior positions within the NYC Department of Education. Varleton's educational background includes advanced degrees in Educational Leadership, Educational Administration, and Guidance and Counseling from institutions such as St. John Fisher University and The City College of New York.
