K. Scott Kohanowski

K. Scott Kohanowski currently serves as General Counsel for the Center for NYC Neighborhoods, a position held since October 2023. Prior to this role, K. Scott was employed at the City Bar Justice Center from July 2010 to October 2023 as an Attorney and Project Director, overseeing the Homeowner Stability and LGBT Advocacy Projects. Previous experience includes associate positions at Sills Cummis & Gross P.C. from 2007 to 2009 and Morrison & Foerster LLP from 2001 to 2006, as well as a legal internship at the Legal Aid Society in 1999, focusing on immigration and asylum law. Educational credentials include a Juris Doctorate from New York University School of Law and a BA, Summa Cum Laude, in Portuguese/Spanish from the University of Minnesota.
