Yian Wong

Yian Wong is a Data Scientist at CenterPoint Energy since May 2024, with previous experience as a Machine Learning Intern at HP, focusing on natural language processing and generative AI from May 2023 to September 2023. Yian also served as a Machine Learning Research Assistant at The University of Texas at Austin from April 2022 to May 2023, and completed internships at TERRA COVER, INC, and WiSilica, where contributions involved leveraging machine learning for environmental insights and IoT solutions, respectively. Yian holds a Master of Science in Computer Science from The University of Texas at Austin, expected in May 2024, and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the same institution, earned in May 2023. Prior education includes an International Baccalaureate Diploma and a US High School Diploma from The Awty International School, along with participation in the International Baccalaureate Programme at UWC South East Asia.
