Freek Bouricius

Freek Bouricius has extensive experience in communications and publishing, currently serving as the Chair of the Works Council at the Central Committee on Research Involving Human Subjects (CCMO) and as a communications advisor since April 2019. In parallel, Freek has been involved with Mayflower Bookshop as a PR communications advisor and voluntary Media-PR manager since July 2013, specializing in online communication, public relations, and project management. Previously, Freek held editorial and management roles at BPM Medica and Ariez Publishing, focusing on medical communication and project management. Freek's earlier experience includes editorial roles at LUMC and Medisch Centrum Haaglanden, along with a foundational role at the Dutch Ministry of VROM. Freek holds a Master's degree in English Language & Literature from Leiden University and a postdoctoral degree in Communication in Science from LUMC, alongside various other educational credentials.
