Rick Smith

Rick Smith currently serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor at Wayne State University School of Medicine and as an Assistant Professor at Central Michigan University. Additionally, Rick is a Neurohospitalist in Child Neurology at Children's Hospital of Michigan. Rick's background includes extensive experience in patient care and medical education, having completed a residency in child neurology and medical training at Wayne State University, where Rick also earned a PhD in Molecular Genetics. Rick's research expertise encompasses the Systems Biology of Epilepsy, focusing on the genetic and pathological connections in epilepsy, and prior work at Brigham Young University involved nuclear hormone receptor signaling and cancer biology.
