Melissa Perea

Melissa Perea is an Associate Scientist II at CCRM, having joined in April 2021 after previously holding the title of Associate Scientist I and overseeing laboratory operations. Prior experience includes roles at the University of British Columbia, where responsibilities varied from front desk representation to conducting research in forensic psychology and neuroscience. Notably, Melissa successfully recruited over 100 participants for psychology studies and assisted in biochemical laboratory procedures. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology, both from the University of British Columbia, complemented by a multicultural preparatory education from Tecnológico de Monterrey.
