Global Lead Scientist - Laboratory Research And Innovations at CEPI (Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Innovations)

Carolyn Clark serves as the Global Lead Scientist for Laboratory Research and Innovations at the Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Innovations (CEPI) since March 2017, with previous roles in preclinical development and immunology. Prior experience includes positions as a Scientist at Folkehelseinstituttet, and Visiting Fellowships at Oslo universitetssykehus, the National Institute for Allergy and Infectious Diseases, National Institute for Research in Tuberculosis, ICDDR,B, and PATH. Carolyn's research has focused on immune mechanisms in infectious diseases, viral immunity, and vaccine development. Academically, Carolyn holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Cell/Cellular and Molecular Biology from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, a Master of Public Health from The Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, and a Bachelor of Science in Physiological Sciences from UCLA.
