Ahmed Yahia Al Idrissi

Mr. Ahmed Yahia Al Idrissi is the Chief Executive Officer of Direct Investments at Mubadala Investment Company, with oversight of Mubadala’s Energy, Chemicals, Technology, Life Sciences, Consumer, Industrials and Financial Services portfolios. He is also a member of Mubadala’s Investment Committee. He has assisted leaders of large corporations to drive major performance transformations, including by working on issues related to growth strategy, acquisitions and post-merger management, divestitures, international expansion and new business development, risk management, operational turnarounds, organizational restructuring and capability building.

Mr. Yahia is the Chairman of GlobalFoundries and serves as a board member of Emirates Global Aluminium and PCI Pharma. He previously served as Chairman of Minas de Aguas Teñidas (MATSA) and as a board member of Advanced Micro Devices (AMD), Mubadala Petroleum, Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company (Masdar) and several other prominent industrial companies.

Ahmed holds a Master of Science degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in Mechanical Engineering/Product Strategy and an Engineer’s degree in Industrial Engineering from the Ecole Centrale Paris, both with highest honors.
