Wasantha Edussuriya

Wasantha Edussuriya is an experienced electrical engineer and manager specializing in asset management within the electricity sector. Currently serving as Deputy General Manager of Assets Management at Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) since March 2015, Wasantha oversees the management of transmission assets, maintenance policies, procurement of specialized services, and spare part stores. Previous roles at CEB include Chief Engineer in charge of major transmission and distribution projects and leading the Uthuru Janani Diesel Power Plant project. Earlier experience includes electrical engineering roles at Dara Switchboards and Fentons Limited, focusing on design and testing of electrical systems. Wasantha holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Moratuwa and an MBA from the Open University of Sri Lanka.
