Chick began their career as a Wetland Ecology Assistant at the Smithsonian Environmental Research Center from May 1994 to October 1996. Erik then transitioned to the banking industry, starting as Vice President/Real Estate Lending at BankAnnapolis from April 1997 to March 2007. In this role, they managed the bank's residential and commercial mortgage lending portfolios. Erik then served as Sr. Vice President/Residential and Commercial Real Estate Lending at CFG Community Bank/AmericasBank from March 2007 to June 2009, where they oversaw the bank's residential and commercial real estate lending activities.
In June 2009, Chick joined The Washington Savings Bank as Vice President/Real Estate Lending Services. Erik held this role for two years before joining Howard Bank as Vice President/Relationship Manager in June 2011. Erik served in this role for three years before being promoted to First Citizens Bank as Vice President/Business Banker in June 2014. Erik held this position for just over a year before joining Severn Bank as EVP, Chief Lending Officer in December 2015. Erik held this role for just over six years before returning to CFG Bank as Market Executive in March 2022.
Erik M. Chick has a BA from The Johns Hopkins University in Political Science and Environmental Studies. Erik also has an RMA from East Carolina University in Commercial Lending.
