Brian Pope

Brian Pope is an experienced finance and corporate development leader currently serving as Vice President of Client Portfolio Management at American Century Investments since March 2024. Previously, Brian held the position of Senior Vice President of Finance and Corporate Development at Passport, overseeing financial management and strategic initiatives. Prior experience includes serving as Managing Member at Silverport, where Brian provided tailored advisory services to private companies, and as Managing Director at Barings Alternative Investments, leading business development and portfolio management growth. Additional roles include Associate in Mergers & Acquisitions at Edgeview Partners and varied positions at Bear Stearns and Reynolds American, Inc. Brian holds an MBA from MIT Sloan School of Management and a BS in Finance with a focus on General Management from North Carolina State University.
