Sherri joined Stanford Medicine Children’s Health and Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital in 1994 as the Director of Government Relations. Prior to joining SMCH she worked first as Legislative Assistant to a Member of Congress and later as professional staff and/or consultant to a number of political candidates and elected officials. She also served as the Assistant Director of the Valley Medical Center Foundation. During her tenure at SMCH/LPCH she has expanded her portfolio to include not only organizing and managing the government relations program, monitoring proposed laws and public policy that may impact SMCH but also overseeing the community partnerships and volunteer services departments. She serves on many nonprofit and regional business association boards and is recognized for her political acumen, leadership, advocacy, organizing ability, and knowledge of public policy, particularly in the area of health care.
