Rebecca Garza-Bortman

Rebecca Garza-Bortman is a seasoned design professional with extensive experience across various roles and organizations within the tech industry. Currently serving as a Staff Designer at the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative, Rebecca focuses on creating educational tools that prioritize student well-being. Previously, as Head of Design at Conceive, Rebecca redefined fertility wellness to better support families. As the Founding Designer for Along, Rebecca developed a digital tool aimed at enhancing student-teacher relationships. Additional experience includes founding roles at MasterClass and Snapguide, user experience design at YouTube, and leadership positions at Disposable Film Festival, Mule Design Studio, and Cooper. Rebecca holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Communication Design from Carnegie Mellon University and also studied at The Glasgow School of Art.
