Shanna Spickard

Shanna Spickard, Ed.D., is an accomplished educational leader currently serving as the Chief Communications Officer for Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools since July 2024. With extensive experience in instructional leadership, Shanna has held key positions, including Superintendent of Schools for DeWitt Public Schools and Principal roles in Milan Area Schools and Manchester Middle School. As a trainer and mentor for the National Association of Elementary School Principals, Shanna is known for presenting at numerous conferences on topics related to education leadership and positive school culture. Shanna's educational credentials include a Doctorate in Education Leadership from Eastern Michigan University and dual bachelor's degrees in Communication and Secondary Education from Ohio University.
