Tara Shimer

Tara Shimer, CPA, is an experienced accounting professional currently serving as Associate Director in the Corporates Hedge Accounting Advisory practice at Chatham Financial since April 2022. In this role, Tara specializes in providing risk management and hedge accounting solutions for companies facing interest rate and foreign currency risks. Prior experience includes positions as a Revenue Accountant at PECO, an Exelon Company, and various roles at RSM US LLP, including Assurance Senior Associate, Assurance Associate, and Audit Intern. Additionally, Tara contributed to the University of Miami as an MBA tutor in Accounting, Finance, Economics, and Statistics for the Executive MBA for Artists and Athletes Program. Tara holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a focus on Accounting from the University of Miami Herbert Business School, completed in 2017.
