Gal Hershcovich

Gal Hershcovich is an accomplished R&D Engineering Manager at Check Point Software Technologies Ltd since December 2023, bringing extensive experience from Israeli Military Intelligence. Previously, Gal served as Head of Cyber Analyst Branch in Unit 8200, managing a team of 30 soldiers and officers and overseeing technological intelligence and cyber research. In Unit 81, Gal held multiple roles, culminating as Cyber R&D Group Manager, where leadership extended to over 40 developers and researchers in the end-to-end development of vital systems. Earlier positions included Security R&D Team Leader and various IT roles, showcasing a strong foundation in information security and systems administration. Gal earned a B.Sc in Communication Systems Engineering from Ben-Gurion University of the Negev.
