Richard Tom

Richard Tom is an accomplished security engineer with extensive experience in network provisioning and systems engineering. Currently employed at Check Point Software Technologies, Ltd. since May 2018, Richard specializes in developing secure and scalable solutions for customers. Prior to this, Richard held management roles at Altice USA and Cablevision, focusing on DNS, DHCP, and TFTP services, while remaining actively involved in DNS engineering. Richard's technical expertise includes firewall and load balancer engineering, as well as systems security on Solaris and Linux platforms. Richard earned a CISSP certification in January 2006 and has a strong programming background in C and C++ on various Unix platforms. Richard holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Loyola University Maryland, obtained in 1990.
