Melanie Whelan

Melanie Whelan brings extensive experience in business operations, international growth and consumer marketing, and has served on our board of directors since June 2019. Ms. Whelan has served as Chief Executive Officer of SoulCycle from 2015 to November 2019 and previously served as Chief Operating Officer from 2012 until 2015. Prior to joining SoulCycle, Ms. Whelan was Vice President of Business Development at Equinox, where she was responsible for developing and executing brand and business initiatives. Prior to Equinox, she also held leadership positions with Virgin Management, where she was on the founding team of Virgin America, and with Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Ms. Whelan holds a B.A. in Engineering and Economics from Brown University.
