Neil Maniar

Dr. Neil Maniar is a current CHS parent. Neil received his Ph.D. from the Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg School of Public Health and his Master of Public Health from the Yale University School of Public Health. He has a BA from Connecticut College with a double major in English and Zoology. Neil is a Professor of Public Health Practice, Associate Chair of the Department of Health Sciences, and Director of the Master of Public Health program in the Bouve College of Health Sciences at Northeastern University and was recently elected President of the Massachusetts Public Health Association. Prior to joining Northeastern, Neil worked at the American Cancer Society's New England Division as well as the Brigham and Women's Hospital Center for Community Health and Health Equity. Neil was also the founding director of the Massachusetts Youth Violence Prevention Program at the Massachusetts Department of Public Health. He also founded and co-chaired the Massachusetts Coalition for Youth Violence Prevention. Neil currently serves on the board of directors of UTEC, Inc and was part of the Eastern New England Board of the American Cancer Society from 2017-2020.
