Modesto Valle

Modesto Valle serves as the Vice President and Commissioner of the Chicago Park District since November 2021, following a distinguished career at the Center on Halsted as Chief Executive Officer from June 2004 to March 2023, where strategic planning and operations were key focuses. Previous roles include Deputy Executive Director, Acting Executive Director, and Director of Development at Horizons Community Services, where successes included increasing program diversity, enhancing financial sustainability, and establishing community partnerships. Valle’s early career involved fundraising and volunteer management positions at Holy Trinity High School and Open Hand Chicago, showcasing a strong commitment to community service and development. Education includes a Doctor's Degree Honorary in Human Services from Columbia College Chicago and a Certificate Program in Non-Profit/Public/Organizational Management from Northwestern University - Kellogg School of Management.
