Tara S. Comer is a seasoned executive with extensive experience in development and leadership within the nonprofit sector. Currently serving as Senior Vice President of Development at the American Heart Association since March 2018, Tara has successfully led a 7-state region to exceed annual revenue and community impact goals, earning the “Nick Racanelli Torch of Strength” Award for outstanding performance. Previous roles include Executive Director with a focus on a community of 2.3 million individuals, Assistant Development Director in Athletics at the University of Rhode Island, and Chief Experience Officer at AWE, where Tara facilitated professional development and training programs.
