Biren Joshi

Biren Joshi has extensive experience in analytical development, having held various positions at Chimerix, Inc. since November 2015, including Director and Associate Director of Drug Substance Analytical Development, as well as Analytical Chemist. Prior to Chimerix, Joshi worked at Stiefel Inc., a GlaxoSmithKline company, as a Senior Scientific Investigator from January 2014 to July 2015. Joshi's career began at GlaxoSmithKline Inc., where roles included Senior Scientific Investigator, Investigator, and Principal Scientist from November 1999 to January 2014. Educationally, Joshi earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Isolation and Characterization of Natural Products from Fungi from the University of Iowa between 1994 and 1999, and a Bachelor's Degree in Technology of Intermediates and Dyes from The University Department of Chemical Technology from 1990 to 1993.
