Established in 1985, China Urban Construction Design and Research Institute Co., Ltd. (CUCD) was formerly a public unit called the Urban Construction Design Institute directly under the Ministry of Construction. It was reformed as a state-owned enterprise in 2002 and changed its name to China Urban Construction Design and Research Institute Co., Ltd. in 2014 after the approval of the State Council. CUCD is a comprehensive consulting, research, design and construction firm in the urban construction industry. It has expertise in engineering design, project management, construction, and supervision of municipal infrastructure projects, covering urban planning and development, transportation, water supply, and sanitation, wastewater treatment, solid waste management,
heat supply, industrial and civil building architecture, landscape and gardens, etc.
