Yaowen Shi

Yaowen (Walden) Shi is an experienced economic development consultant currently working at Chinatown Community Development Center since April 2019, focusing on community outreach and marketing for over 450 businesses in San Francisco's Chinatown. Prior roles include Marketing and Business Development Manager at Main Street Launch, where responsibilities included one-on-one business support and data analysis, and as a Planning Consultant at Chinatown Community Development Center, which involved community surveys and GIS analysis. Shi has also held positions as a Planning and Design Assistant at China Academy of Urban Planning + Design and an Urban Designer at Node Architecture & Landscape & Urbanism, contributing to significant urban planning projects in China. Shi holds a Master’s Degree in Environmental Planning & Design from The University of Georgia and a Bachelor’s Degree in Landscape Architecture from Huazhong Agricultural University.
