John Grant Stauffer

John Grant Stauffer is a Natural Resource Archaeologist for the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma, focusing on surveys and resource management strategies for tribal lands. Stauffer has experience as a Lead Resource Advisor for USDA Forest Service during wildfire responses in the North Zone Complex. Academic involvement includes roles as an Adjunct Lecturer and Lecturer at Washington University in St. Louis, teaching anthropology courses and supervising excavations at Cahokia Mounds State Historic Site. Stauffer also contributed to logistical organization for multiple workshops at Texas State University and has experience as a substitute teacher, private tutor, field technician, and lab technician. Stauffer holds a Ph.D. in Anthropology from Washington University in St. Louis, a Master's degree from Texas State University, and a Bachelor's degree from Colgate University.
