Karl Hideyo Schroeder

Karl Hideyo Schroeder is a finance professional with extensive experience across various sectors. Currently serving as the Senior Director of Finance at Chooose, effective October 2023, Karl leads financial planning and analysis, reporting, treasury, and oversees finance operations and accounting. Previously, as Head of Finance at SafetyWing from February 2021 to September 2023, Karl played a pivotal role in raising $35 million in a Series B funding round, established annual planning, and contributed to setting up a licensed insurance company in Puerto Rico, among other achievements. Other notable positions include Manager of Global FP&A at iFLY Indoor Skydiving and roles at The Home Depot and various financial institutions. Karl holds an MBA from Rice Business and a Bachelor's in Finance from the University of Houston.
