Rebecca’s board career commenced in financial services, becoming chair of the MLC superannuation subsidiaries. Her involvement in health initially came after her daughter was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes, and she has been a board member at JDRF Australia, including terms as Vice Chair, for many years. She is currently also on the international JDRF board and serves on its Research Committee and Nominations and Governance Committee. She is a former board member at the Private Health Insurance Administration Council and chaired the audit committee. A board member at LCM Healthcare, she also sits on the Audit and Risk Committee and the Performance and Remuneration Committee. She was formerly on the board of the Westpac/BT financial services and superannuation subsidiaries and is the President of the Heart Foundation (NSW Division) and sits on its National board.
She is a member of the Research Committee of the NHMRC and the Consumer and Community Committee.
Rebecca is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and a regular presenter of AICD courses covering legal, risk, and governance issues.
