Linas Medžiūnas

Linas Medžiūnas is a seasoned software developer with extensive experience in developing scalable solutions and backend services. Currently serving as a Member of Technical Staff at Chronosphere since March 2020, Linas is focused on creating a highly scalable time series database. Prior to this role, Linas worked at Wix.com from January 2016 to March 2020, where Scala backend microservices were developed for various applications, including the Wix Hotels vertical and Wix Data. Linas has also contributed to major Open Source projects and started a technical blog on Medium. Previous experience includes developing an AI-driven travel planner at TripCreator, working on customer loyalty management platforms at OneGo, and overseeing production at IIZI Services. Linas began a career in the insurance industry with Saikas, where significant database and software development initiatives were executed for over a decade. Linas holds a Master's degree in Computer Science from Vilnius University.
