Victor Opiyo

Victor Opiyo serves as a SI Specialist at the Center for International Health, Education, and Biosecurity (Ciheb) at UMB since October 2021, focusing on maintaining functional Ministry of Health monitoring and evaluation systems and coordinating data capture and reporting. Prior experience includes roles as an SI Officer at the University of Maryland, Baltimore, where data documentation and flow processes were strengthened, and as a Monitoring and Evaluation Officer at the Centre for Health Solutions - Kenya, providing technical support on reporting and data management. Victor also worked as a Data Management Officer, evaluating dataset accuracy, and an SI Intern at the Division of National AIDS and STI Control Program in Kenya, participating in HIV monitoring and reporting requirements. Initial experience includes roles as a Health Information System Volunteer and M&E Intern, emphasizing data entry and management. Victor holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Biostatistics from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology, earned between 2012 and 2016.
