Emily Cole

Emily Cole is a legal professional with extensive experience in securities litigation, administrative law, and adjudication. As the Principal of Emily Cole Law since April 2018, Cole also serves as a member of the Toronto Administrative Penalty Tribunal and the Toronto Licensing Tribunal since April 2023. Additional roles include Hearing Committee Member at CIRO/OCRI and a part-time member of the Social Benefits Tribunal under Tribunals Ontario from November 2020 to December 2021, where adjudication of disability benefits appeals was a key responsibility. Cole’s previous experience includes partnership at Miller Thomson LLP, serving as Senior Litigation Counsel at the Ontario Securities Commission, and work as an Associate Lawyer at Gowling WLG. Educational qualifications include a Juris Doctor from York University - Osgoode Hall Law School, a BA from McGill University, and completion of the Directors Education Program at the University of Toronto - Rotman School of Management.
