Mike Braaten

Mike Braaten is an accomplished public sector leader with extensive experience in municipal management and community development. Currently serving as Deputy Executive Director of the Department of General Services for the City and County of Denver since February 2022, Mike oversees key divisions including Facilities Management, City-wide Purchasing and Procurement, and Administration. Previous roles include Deputy Executive Director at South Suburban Parks and Recreation, Deputy City Manager for the City of Littleton, and Government Affairs Coordinator for the City of Rifle. Mike's career also includes significant positions with the Colorado Municipal League and the Region 10 League for Economic Assistance & Planning. Mike holds a Bachelor's degree in Local and Urban Affairs (Community Development) from St. Cloud State University.
