Sue Threader

Sue Threader is a seasoned professional in civil engineering and public service, currently serving as the Bridgemaster for the City of London since June 2024 and as a Board Member for the City Bridge Foundation. Threader holds multiple roles, including a Board Trustee for the TDS Charitable Foundation and a member of the Muniments Committee for The Worshipful Company of Engineers. With a long-standing affiliation with the Institution of Civil Engineers since 1998, Threader has held prominent positions including Chair of the Archives Panel and Chair of the Kent and East Sussex Branch. Sue Threader has been the Bridge Clerk (Chief Executive) at Rochester Bridge Trust since 2006 and previously served in various capacities at the Employment Tribunal Service and Mole Valley District Council. Threader earned a BEng(Hons) in Civil & Structural Engineering from The University of Sheffield and has also studied at Woolwich College and Blackheath High School.
