Joel Zook

Joel Zook currently serves as the Energy Services Coordinator for the City of Ames, Iowa, a position held since May 2022. Prior experience includes working as an Energy Planner at Winneshiek Energy District from July 2016 to May 2022, where efforts focused on reducing energy costs for farmers through energy efficiency and renewable energy initiatives. Joel Zook has also worked at CLEAResult, holding various roles such as Energy Advisor, Senior Energy Assessor, and Energy Assessor, engaging commercial customers and providing energy assessments for utility programs. Early career experiences include serving as a Home Energy Planner at Winneshiek Energy District, conducting energy audits, and assisting homeowners in securing funds for energy improvements. Joel Zook holds a Bachelor of Architecture degree from the Illinois Institute of Technology, earned between 2004 and 2009.
