Sarah Young

Sarah Young is a highly skilled professional with extensive experience in business innovation and economic development. Currently serving as a Senior Business Innovation & Strategic Partnerships Officer for the City of Barrie since May 2019, Sarah has been instrumental in fostering the start-up and scale-up business community while collaborating with ecosystem partners to enhance economic growth in the region. Previous roles include Program Coordinator and Business Development Assistant, where Sarah supported research and event coordination. Notable past positions include HR Consulting Assistant at Ryerson University and Administrative Assistant for the Town of Niagara-on-the-Lake. Sarah holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Arts with a Minor in Economics and Management from Brock University and completed advanced courses in Economic Development at the University of Waterloo.
