Summer Aldred is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in youth development, sustainability, and urban planning. As the co-founder and Executive Director of the Detroit United Lacrosse Association, Summer focuses on fostering student athletes of character through sports. Current roles include Planning Intern for the City of Birmingham, Women’s Lacrosse Club Head Coach at the University of Michigan, and a broadcast team member for the University of Michigan Women’s Lacrosse Team. Previous positions encompass urban and regional planning internships, DEI coordination, and educational roles in nutrition and gardening within local school districts. Summer holds a Master's degree in Urban Planning from Wayne State University, a BA in Sociology from Oakland University, a BA in Environmental Studies from Denison University, and a certificate from Cornell University in Climate Change Science.
